The U.S.-Japan Natural Resources Panel on Aquaculture will conduct its 36th annual science symposium on October 29 and 30, 2007, at the University of New Hampshire’s New England Center in Durham, NH.
The symposium will focus on invertebrate culture and will feature sessions covering bivalve, crustacean, and echinoderm culture, featuring presentations by Japanese and American experts. As is customary with the annual ;meetings, a field trip to aquaculture points of interest is also scheduled for October 31 through November 2. The field trip may include an open ocean aquaculture farm in the Portsmouth, NH area; a shellfish farm in Cape Cod, MA; the NOAA Fisheries aquaculture lab in Milford, CT; and an aquaculture high school in Milford, CT.
Space is limited and registration is required for the symposium and the field trip.
